Kristin House
Kristin began her career in hospitality in 1989 as a Convention Manager for Cardiff Publishing Company. There she managed 5 tradeshows in telecommunications, engineering and healthcare for groups from 500-3500. After two years with the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau she returned to Colorado and joined the Denver Convention and Visitor's Bureau, where she was responsible for booking the Colorado Convention Center and all of Denver's hotels.
She left the Bureau in early 1999 to pursue her career with ConferenceDirect. Her current account list includes the National Conference of State Legislatures, Society for Range Management and the American Society of Agronomy, to name several of her clients. As Vice President/Team Director she has built a team of 16 in Denver and 2 in Salt Lake that represent ConferenceDirect. She has been honored with the ConferenceDirect Gold Award, booking over 9 million dollars in room revenue for two of the past three years. She has served on the PCMA Membership Advisory Council for five years (2000-2005) and was past Chair of the overall PCMA National Membership Committee in 2000. Kristin is also a member of the Colorado Society of Association Executives and served as it’s co-chair of the Membership Committee from 2007-2009. Convention South voted Kristin one of their “meeting planners to watch in 2007”, and in 2008 Kristin received the “Best Meeting Professional” award from Colorado Meetings and Events magazine. |
